Sweet child of mankind

Oh little child, my dear little child.

Your eyes, bright with hopes and desires
You pick a handful of sand, and looking at it flow out of your hand, mesmerized.
"Is it just me or it's raining diamonds from the sky"

Oh little child, my dear little child.

I close my eyes and can't stop thinking of the look in your eyes.
The world out there is waiting for you,
With its open sewer of crime and vice.

"You are not enough, not good enough, may be a little too ample, or a little too inadequate
A little here, a little there; just a little away from nose but not too much, maybe" (but who cares)

You will not always be right,
What is right anyway, who decides?!
It tears me apart, to think, there would be a time only you would be by your side.

Oh little child, my dear little child.

One day, a boy or a girl (up to you, you decide)
Would convince you with the power of their own conviction
"There is a new or may be a parallel world,
Where holding my hand brings more power to you girl."

Hard to say if you would be power for them, or they would be for you,
The illusion of power brings out the real power, it's true.
The right balance is struck
And Viola! You are the enigma, 'His' perfect work.

Pull one block, the whole thing crashes,
down to remains or may be just ashes.
It hurts like hell, hurts both of you, to be precise,
After all, I taught you better than this, you cannot be selfish, but you decide.

What is right anyway, who decides?!
It would again be only you by your side.

Oh little child, my dear little child.

What did you do, what did I teach you!

At the end, I would stand along with the crowd,
Thee whole world and hypocrisy of my own righteous woman pride,
Judging you, dissecting you, ripping your leg once and then your eye.

What did you do, what did I teach you!

What is right anyway, who decides?!
It would again be only you by your side.

Oh little child,
My dear little child.
